HARVEST AT THE HERMITAGE

A Special Event for Members!
Presented by the Hermitage Collective

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17 | 6-9PM

Active Hermitage Members are invited to join the Hermitage Collective for an intimate evening of mingling, delectable food, intriguing art, ambient music, and autumn beverages. Guests will explore spaces in the museum galleries to discover food and beverage tastings and meet our featured guests.

The mission of this year’s Harvest at the Hermitage is to highlight the environmental conservation efforts throughout the Hermitage gardens and along our living shoreline. The Hermitage Collective is thrilled to partner with Tidewater Compost and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to produce a low-waste event.

SHOWCASING:

Jesse Wykle, Owner and Executive Chef of Aloha Snacks
Jesse will present a delectable sampling of Aloha Snacks’ premier menu options. Learn about his technique, ingredient sources, and the mission of his restaurant.

Perrin Priest & Morgan Phipps, Norfolk Raw Bar Co.
Perrin and Morgan will offer a selection of raw oysters for guests to sample. Learn about Norfolk Raw Bar Company’s services and techniques.

Phillip Riske, Curator of Gardens & Grounds, Hermitage Museum
Meet Phillip and learn about the Hermitage’s living shoreline, ever-changing gardens, and ongoing conservation efforts.

Joaquin D. Garza, Musician, Teacher + Composer
Joaquin will offer a solo performance featuring a selection of his work as guests enjoy the evening.  Meet Joaquin and learn about his musical talent.

Melissa Tebbenhoff, The Rusted Rabbitt
Melissa, artist and designer, will present a beautiful display of her pumpkin and succulent arrangements, available for purchase.  Melissa creates vintage inspired living arrangements and custom artwork.

Reverend Spirits by RD Wilhelm Distillery, Tasting with Karl Dornemann
Join Karl, Co-owner and certified Craft Distiller, for a specialty fall cocktail or a tasting of Reverend Spirits bourbon, gin, or vodka, while learning about the Norfolk distillery.

SummerWind Vineyard
SummerWind is a family owned and operated vineyard located in Smithfield, Virginia. Enjoy tasting two of SummerWind’s specialty wines while hearing about all they offer.

Ceremony
Ceremony is a dry bottle shop curating non-alcohol beer, wine, spirits, mocktails, and functional drinks. @enjoyceremony

Cameron Kania, Owner of Tidewater Compost
Meet Cameron as he facilitates the Hermitage’s efforts to compost all food and service ware used throughout the evening.  Learn about the services offered by Tidewater Compost, the area’s first residential and commercial organic waste diversion and compost company.

Indulge in a spiked cider bar, a craft spirits tasting, and wine tasting, and a specialty non-alcoholic beverage tasting, along with a mini raw oyster bar and an autumn charcuterie spread. Participate in a scavenger hunt to learn about unusual features of the museum while mingling with members of the Hermitage Collective – the Hermitage’s young professional advisory board.
