Classes are confirmed one week prior to the start date. In order to help us confirm classes, please register as early as possible.
Class fees are made up of tuition, studio fees, and supply fees. Tuition helps us pay our instructors, studio fees cover wear and tear on the facility and its equipment, and supply fees cover the cost of supplies specific to the class or workshop. In some classes, students may be asked to purchase or bring in additional materials for personal use. Remember, in addition to great Hermitage Museum benefits, Hermitage members always receive discounts on classes, workshops, and camps.

Class and Workshop Refund Policy:
The Hermitage will issue a refund if the cancelation request is made within one week of the class starting minus a processing fee. The Hermitage will not issue refunds or transfers after the class has started. Please make selections carefully and mark your calendar.
INTRODUCTION TO CLAY

Children, ages 8–12, will expand their imagination as they explore the exciting world of clay!
This 4-week class will focus on learning a variety of techniques in hand building including slab and coil construction to create functional and non-functional pieces. This class will teach the basics of working with clay and encourage experimentation through shaping clay, designing and constructing projects, and clay surface decoration and glazing.

ARTFUL PLAY

ARTful Play is an exploratory, stimulating, inviting, and safe environment for young children and their caregiver to become familiar with basic art materials, while nurturing creativity, curiosity, and developmental growth. Spend the morning with your child making art using a variety of methods such as drawing, painting, collage, and printing. This class will stimulate their budding curiosity through singing and movement activities, engaging stories, exploratory art experiences, and nature walks.
