The grounds are a picturesque place for a wedding ceremony and reception. Exchange your vows under beautiful trees with the Lafayette River as the background. Perhaps you prefer the Grotto as the setting for your ceremony – a charming fountain featuring a cherubic figure. You may choose to instead overlook the Lafayette River for your special event. If your ceremony is to be small, the gorgeous setting of the Rose Garden is perfect for your marriage vows. Wherever you decide to marry at the Hermitage, you will have an intimate and extraordinary occasion that will compare to no other.

Private Events

The beauty of the grounds combined with an exceptional view and the breeze off the water will make any event memorable. Plan your cocktail party at sunset or your special dinner under the stars. The Hermitage’s warm and inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal location for corporate events of all kinds.

Any event is made far more remarkable and distinctive when held at the Hermitage. The intimate atmosphere brings a special feeling to all.

Facility Rental Policies

All events must be held outdoors. All photography sessions must check in at the front desk and require a reservation.

All parties interested in hosting events at the Hermitage are required to be Museum Members at the Caprice Level which is included in the rental fee. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 will hold your chosen event date and be applied to the rental fee.  Fifty-percent (50%) of the basic Event Rental fee is due when signing the Event Agreement.  The basic Event fee balance is due to The Hermitage no less than thirty (30) days prior to the event.
