Live from the Music Room

Experience extraordinary musical performances like you’ve never seen or heard before. Join us for a magical evening of music in the intimate setting of the Hermitage Museum’s historic Music Room.

Guests are invited to arrive early to browse the Sloane Collection and enjoy drinks available for purchase. Performances begin at 7:00 pm and will include a 20-minute intermission. Doors open at 6:00 pm.

Feign Kin

Feign Kin is a musical project by James Turner. Originally from Georgia, James spent just over a decade in Tennessee before moving to Norfolk at the tail end of 2020. After learning of his adoption later in life, He began to ask himself the question “What if we all just pretended we were family?” Now, five years in, the project continues to sprout new branches with friends joining to collaborate along the way. Forged out of a youth steeped in punk and hardcore, Turner brings that curiosity and feeling to a more roots-based sound. Feign Kin will soon be celebrating the release of the debut album ‘A Brand New Bright’

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20:

Jason Arce

Grammy Winning Saxophonist and Virginia Beach native and toured the world extensively and also been an active educator. He has performed with a diverse group of artists including Weezer, Cece Winans, Joe Jonas, Joe Budden, Adele, Blood Orange, Cory Henry, Rick Braun, Butcher Brown, and BJ Griffin among many others. He received his BA from VCU and his masters from NYU.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18:

tyler donavan

tyler donavan is a Virginia-based rapper, songwriter, and producer known for vulnerable storytelling, sharp lyricism, and a genre-bending sound that blends hip-hop, R&B, soul, and alternative music. A fixture in Virginia’s music scene for over a decade, he has performed at Pharrell’s Something in the Water festival, earned four Veer Music Award nominations for his album GASPING4AIR, including a win for Best R&B/Soul at the 2024 awards. Through his music and creative house, 9th Nimbus, tyler encourages listeners to remain resilient, embrace their path, and “follow the cloud.”

Chloe Youtsey

Chloe Youtsey (pronounced “Yahtzee”) returned to the Hampton Roads area in 2022 after working the jazz and songwriter circuits for four years in Austin, Texas. A limitless creative, she is a songwriter, jazz musician, podcast host, visual artist, and children’s book author (Little Monster.) She’s recognized as a Betty Carter Jazz Ahead alum, the first music director & artist resident for Mozart’s Coffee Roasters, a Zeiders American Dream Theater’s Proteus Award Winner, Veer Music Awards 2026 Award Winner for Best Jazz and Runner-Up for Best Live Album, 2025 City of Virginia Beach Creative Neighborhood grantee, & most recently welcomed as Adjunct Faculty at Old Dominion University.

Koren Grace

With a storyteller’s heart, Koren writes music that explores belonging, resilience, and the quiet moments that shape a life.
