Led by Jeremy Hanes
Thursdays, April 8 – May 27
5:30pm- 7pm
Are you interested in art and meditation? Have you walked the Hermitage grounds and wished you could take your time and appreciate your surroundings in a different way? And are you interested in learning more about how art is used by people around the world to find meaning, alleviate anxiety, and make the world a better place? Each session will focus on breathing meditation and visualization practices around a work of art or location at the Hermitage. Topics will link the museum’s collection to historical, cultural, and religious context as used in meditation or suggest a topic of literary interest as a comparable example. Sessions will take place outdoors and inside the museum.
