The Hermitage Museum & Gardens is a not-for-profit museum founded by William and Florence Sloane in 1937. Today, we continue the traditions they started in their home over eight decades ago. Support of the Hermitage is more important than ever. With the ever-growing museum programs and constant care and preservation of the museum structures, endowment support set up by the Sloane family is not enough. The Hermitage relies on individual, foundation, corporate, and city support to ensure all are welcome and have access to unique experiences in art and nature.
