Week of April 2nd – 6th, 2018
Instructor: Jennifer McDuffie

Spring Into Art

Spring is a time for growth, renewal, and new life at the Hermitage. Artists have long been inspired by the very newness that is spring. During this week learn about animals, plant-life, and spring weather as we jump into spring with our unique works of art. Explore a variety of art materials such as clay, paint, and mixed media to create animal sculptures, flower and plant paintings, self-portraits, and much more spring inspired works of art. Spend time outside exploring the wetlands, grounds, and gardens at the Hermitage to learn about the many ways that nature can be incorporated in to art!

The camp day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a morning session from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., lunch and outdoor time (weather permitting) from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., and the afternoon session from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The camp day ends promptly at 4:00 p.m.
