APPRAISAL POLICY

The Hermitage Museum staff is not qualified to evaluate or authenticate works of art. We recommend consulting a reputable art dealer, appraiser, or auction house such as Bonhams, Sothebys, Bruck Auctioneers, and/or the Appraisal Association where you can search by zip code or region. The Hermitage uses Bonhams Auctioneers in New York for appraisal needs.

The Hermitage Museum is responsible for the care of the Sloane Collection; that is, all items collected by the founder, Florence Sloane, between 1890 and 1953. As such, we do not accept donations of art or artifacts of any kind.
