2022 CAMP INFORMATION:

 

June 20–24
Instructor: Jacob Mallett

Campers will expand their imagination as they explore the exciting world of clay! This week will focus on learning a variety of techniques in hand building and wheel-throwing including slab and pinch construction to create functional and non-functional pieces. Campers will make functional pottery forms such as mugs, bowls, and planters as well as sculptural animals and insects. This week will emphasize creative problem solving and experimentation through shaping clay, designing and constructing projects, and clay surface decoration and glazing.

Members: $200 per week
Not-yet Members: $230 per week

About Camp:
The camp day runs from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with lunch and outdoor time (weather permitting) from 12:00 –1:00 p.m. The camp day ends promptly at 4:00 p.m. No aftercare is available.

Important information regarding COVID-19 and Art Camp:
The Hermitage Museum successfully and safely held in-person Art Camp during the summer months of 2020 and 2021. The museum intends to continue offering in-person camps in 2022, and is committed to providing fun, educational, and safe programming to our community.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
If Art Camp is cancelled by the Hermitage Museum, a full refund will be issued. In the event a child is unable to attend camp for any reason and the Hermitage Museum & Gardens is given advance notice, the museum will make its best effort to get the spot filled by a camper on the waitlist.
