Clay Camp ages 8-12

July 17-21
Instructor: Louise Dawkins

Campers will expand their imagination as they explore the exciting world of clay! This week will focus on S.T.E.M. subjects as campers learn wheel-throwing and handbuilding techniques to create functional pieces such as vases, bowls, and cups as well as sculptural works of art.  A wide variety of ceramic techniques will be covered such as shaping clay, designing and constructing projects, and, clay surface decoration and glazing.

Clay Camp ages 11-14

Campers will expand their imagination as they explore the exciting world of clay! This week will focus developing a consistent theme throughout each camper’s artwork while using various handbuilding techniques to create functional pieces such as vases, bowls, and cups as well as sculptural works of art.  A wide variety of ceramic techniques will be covered such as shaping clay, designing and constructing projects, and, clay surface decoration and glazing.
